  • Many of the injuries that could occur from an accident or fire can be met by the contents of a BS 8599-2 : 2014 complaint first aid kit.

    This kit contains all products that are complaint with that standard and include the following :

    1 x Triangular bandage
    2 x Burn Dressings 10 x 10cms
    1 x Adhesive dressing pad
    1 X Trauma dressing 15x18
    1 x HSE medium dressing
    1 x Foil Blanket(adult)
    2 x Pairs of nitrile gloves
    1 x Guidance leaflet
    20 x wash proof plasters
    1 x resuscitation face shield
    1 x Tuffcut scissors
    10 x Clensing wipes

    However, in the case of the an electric vehicle fire a number of dangerous substances can be released of which Hydrogen Fluoride is the most dangerous as when mixing with moisture of water will produce Hydrofluoric acid, which in addition to being a highly corrosive liquid, hydrofluoric acid is also a powerful contact poison.. Because of the ability of hydrofluoric acid to penetrate tissue, poisoning can occur readily through exposure of skin or eyes, or when inhaled or swallowed.

    The treatment of these burns include cleansing of the skin or wound with water and the use of calcium gluconate gel to neutralize hydrofluoric acid.

    We include in this kit :
    1 x C Gel (Calcium Gluconate Gel)
    2 x 250 ml sterile wound and eyewash
